Trafalgar Square, in the heart of London, is an instantly recognisable and very British landmark. The lofty Nelson’s Column was designed by William Railton and was built to commemorate Admiral Nelson’s victory in the Napoleonic Wars.
There is a bronze equestrian statue of George IV on the north-eastern side of the square. It was designed by Sir Francis Chantrey and Thomas Earle. It was supposed to be a temporary exhibit when installed in 1843, but has remained in place ever since.
The London Collection
“In London, everyone is different, and that means anyone can fit in” ~ Paddington Bear.
Add to that - the streets, the sights, the sounds, the art, the architecture… I feel so lucky to call this wonderful city my home.
London is a walking city - organic and full of unexpected lanes and walkways. I have tried to capture the essence of the city during my walks through sketches and snapshots over time. These have been the inspiration of my London Collection.
