After 8 weeks of lockdown…. I really thought I would accomplish ALL that needed to be accomplished. All the stuff that was kept in the back burner or months and weeks due to ‘lack of time’. Did I do it? Of course, no. I did make a dent in a handful quarantine ‘tasks’. But no, I didn’t write the first draft of my NY Times best selling novel. Not yet! I did, however chance upon these business cards that I had tucked away in a corner. They were one of my very early business card design. I had one of my drawings printed on the back, just the outline. The aim was to get the client to colour it in! I still think it is a nice enough idea, even if somewhat impractical. However finding them again after all these years, I decided to colour in a card a day while in quarantine. So didn’t quite get to a card a day but have coloured in a fair amount of them. Having a limited colour palette (all my art supplies are at the studio) i thought it would be challenging to colour in differently each day. Bit in reality, it was actually quite easy and intuitive. Didn’t accomplish much in the past 8 weeks. But this. It’s a work in progress. And I love it!
