The magnificent Statue of Lady Liberty is not only an American National Monument. It is a symbol of hope and aspiration for the entire world – standing there enlightening the world.
What if our Lady Liberty could speak today?
I honestly and strongly believe she would be at a loss for words looking at the present state of us humans!
We had to fight for the right of free speech, to share our ideas fearlessly. That same freedom of speech has opened a Pandora’s box of hatred and negativity.
People seem to have forgotten that with freedom comes responsibility. We are shouting everywhere about our rights, human rights, animal rights, but I think we should all practice the right to remain silent for a while! Introspect!
Unlike me, this quote summarises it much more eloquently….
